Infosys recruitment reward policy: IT major’s latest plan would encourage team managers and mid-level leaders to get external talent, an employee told the publication. Employees in the HR and talent acquisition teams will not be part of this incentive programme.

Infosys recruitment reward policy: In a big first, Bengaluru-based IT major Infosys seems to have started a new recruitment reward policy. It is learnt that India’s second largest software major Infosys is now rewarding its employees who help in conducting interview for lateral hiring.
Infosys has introduced such a measure for the first time, however, the IT company’s policy puts a limit on the cash incentive for hirings within India, according to a report in Economic Times. With the latest recruitment reward policy, Bengaluru-based Infosys aims to acknowledge employee support for the interview process.

Infosys Recruitment Reward Policy

This cash incentive policy has been unveiled for the senior employees of the company who conduct interviews for lateral hiring. As part of this move to boost employee morale, Infosys is offering 700 points (Rs 700) per interview, which means that employees will earn Rs 700 for taking an interview.
Employees can claim the incentive for interviews in the past 5 months as the programme takes effect retrospectively from January 1, sources told Economic Times.

IT major’s plan would encourage team managers and mid-level leaders to get external talent, an employee told the publication. “Earlier, we did not get any such cash incentive for interviews done. In fact, the company gave us compensatory leaves for the interviews conducted at the campus over the weekends,” the employee said.
Employees in the HR and talent acquisition teams will not be part of this incentive programme. Moreover, employees would not be able to claim the incentive if an interview is cancelled or a candidate does not show up.
According to a senior Infosys employee, this reward policy is a step to please a section of employees that is disappointed with pay hikes of 5-8 per cent for the financial year 2024 coupled with a lower performance bonus payout for the March 2025 quarter.

Infosys CEO Salary Hike

Meanwhile, the IT giant’s CEO Salil Parekh got a 22 per cent salary hike for the financial year 2026, with his yearly payout standing at Rs 80.62 crore. Parekh's revised salary for the 2025-26 fiscal year is at Rs 80,62,36,456. Infosys granted 3,82,071 restricted stock units (RSUs) to Parekh along with his monetary compensation.
