Stock Market Highlights: Sensex ends 256 pts higher, Nifty settles above 25k - Check top gainers

Kotak Bank, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank, Maruti, Power Grid, NTPC, TCS, Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, SBI, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever among others were top Sensex gainers today.

Capri Global, Westlife Foodworld, Sudarshan Chemical, Cochin Shipyard, Data Patterns among others were the top Nifty gainers today.

Stock Market Analysis Today

Market analyst Vipin Dixena noted that all sectoral indices ended in the green except the realty index, with notable gains seen in gold loan NBFCs after the RBI released final guidelines increasing the LTV ratio for gold loans—boosting stocks like Manappuram, Muthoot, and IIFL Finance by up to 8%.

Ajit Mishra – SVP, Research, Religare Broking Ltd noted that markets began the week on a positive note, gaining nearly half a percent, extending Friday’s rally. "Following an initial gap-up start, the Nifty traded within a narrow range throughout the session and eventually settled at the 25,103.20 level. Most sectors moved in line with the benchmark and closed higher, with energy, IT, and financials among the top gainers. The broader indices continued to outperform, posting gains in the range of 1.1% to 1.5%," he noted.

Stock Market Outlook

As per the analyst, the move is seen as a major positive for gold financiers. Looking ahead, with the earnings season wrapped up, market direction will be guided by global cues and key domestic data releases, including CPI inflation, trade balance, and monsoon progress.

On the other hand, Mishra noted that emphasis should remain on themes and stocks where the risk-to-reward ratio continues to be favorable.
