Yes Bank share price target 2025: 20% stake sale by SBI, 7 others; analyst predicts big move in stock

Yes Bank Share Price Target 2025: Yes Bank is in focus as State Bank of India (SBI) and 7 others have announced to sell their 20 per cent stake. The 7 others are Axis Bank, Bandhan Bank, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

They will sell a combined stake of 20 per cent in Yes Bank to Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) for Rs 13,483 crore. After the transaction is completed, SMBC will become the single largest shareholder of Yes Bank.

Speaking to ET NOW Swadesh, Kunal Parar, Vice President, Choice Equity Broking, said that we are getting a positive news about Yes Bank. "Japan's Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is going to buy a stake in Yes Bank. It is quite difficult to say by when this will capitalise..."

"I am confident that the recent development will have a positive impact on Yes Bank and its shares will react definitely... Yes Bank shares can cross Rs 20-mark in the recent rally and short-term target price is Rs 22. Once Yes Bank shares cross Rs 22 and hold, further rally can be expected and the next target price for Yes Bank shares will be Rs 28. My recommendation is not to do average at current levels," the market expert said.

Yes Bank shares on Friday (May 9) rallied 10 per cent to close at Rs 20.05.

Out of 20 per cent stake sale, SBI will offload its 13.19 per cent stake in Yes Bank for Rs 8,889 crore. At present, SBI is the largest shareholder in Yes Bank with 24 per cent holding, according to trendlyne data.

The remaining 6.81 per cent stake will be offloaded by 7 other bank for about Rs 4,594 crore.
